The Town of Paradise has been involved in active negotiations for the past number of months with its bargaining unit (NAPE) for a new collective agreement. The Town has conducted good faith negotiations and made what it believes is a fair and equitable offer. Despite the Town’s efforts to negotiate a settlement, including working with a conciliator, the bargaining unit has rejected all offers to date. Town Hall is closed Monday, October 9 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Paradise Double Ice Complex, including the Body Quest Fitness Centre, is open for regular hours on Monday, October 9. The Paradise Rotary Youth and Community Centre is also open for regular operations.

The Town of Paradise is advising residents that grind and patch work is scheduled for various sections of Topsail Road between civic #1316 to Sunvalley Drive. The work will begin on Wednesday, September 20 and will be completed daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday to Friday and every second Saturday. During all road work, efforts will be made to minimize impact on traffic flow, however residents can expect traffic delays in the area. The public is reminded to use caution in area....
