Emergency Water Shut-Off for Donna Road Pump Station

UPDATE: 12 noon October 17, 2017 - Emergency repairs to the Donna Road Pump Station are complete and water is restored to all areas affected. Residents are asked to run their water for a few minutes after the connection is restored in the event of discoloured water. The Town of Paradise apologizes for any inconvenience.

The Town of Paradise has been involved in active negotiations for the past number of months with its bargaining unit (NAPE) for a new collective agreement. The Town has conducted good faith negotiations and made what it believes is a fair and equitable offer. Despite the Town’s efforts to negotiate a settlement, including working with a conciliator, the bargaining unit has rejected all offers to date. Town Closures and Garbage Collection Changes in Observance of Thanksgiving

Town Hall is closed Monday, October 9 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Paradise Double Ice Complex, including the Body Quest Fitness Centre, is open for regular hours on Monday, October 9. The Paradise Rotary Youth and Community Centre is also open for regular operations.

Residents are advised that the garbage and recycling collection schedule for the week of October 9 will move ahead by one day. The schedule for the week of October 9 is as follows:

PSA: Road Work and Street Upgrades (Paradise Road, Topsail Road)

The Town of Paradise is advising residents of upcoming road work and street upgrades to begin the week of September 25 for the following areas:

• Paradise Road: repair various sections
• Paradise Road: resurfacing between Milton Road and Stormont Street
• Topsail Road: replacement of gabion wall (between Trails End Drive and Sunvalley Drive)
