Garbage Cancellation Notice Area 3A&B - December 9, 2021

Due to the forecast for Thursday, December 9, Garbage Collection for Area 3A&B and Recycling Collection for Area 3A are cancelled.  Garbage will be collected on Friday, December 10, along with Area 4A&B; Recycling Collection will be next week, on Thursday, December 16, along with Area 3B.

Delayed Opening Recreational Facilities - December 9, 2021

Due to the forecast, all Town recreational facilities, including the Paradise Double Ice Complex, the Fitness Centre and the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre, will have a delayed opening on Thursday, December 9, 2021. An update will be provided by 8 a.m. on Thursday.

Recycling Collection - Area 1A December 7, 2021

Due to forecast winds, Recycling Collection for Area 1A is cancelled for Tuesday, December 7. There is no change to Garbage Collection. Recycling Collection for Area 1A will be collected next week, Monday, December 13.

PSA: Installation of Roundabout Feature

The Town of Paradise advises that construction of the feature for the middle of the Topsail Road – McNamara Drive roundabout is scheduled to begin December 6. The feature is designed to be a tribute to a former landmark of the Town’s history, Octagon Castle, a restaurant, hotel, and gallery built on the shores of Octagon Pond in the late 1800s and was destroyed by fire in 1915.
