Council Meeting Scheduled for 7 p.m.(October 5)

The Paradise Public Council Meeting for October 5, 2021 will start at 7 p.m. This is the first meeting for the Council elected in the 2021 General Municipal Election. Council Meetings can be viewed online at www.paradise.ca/councilmeetings. 

2021 Municipal Election Recount Results for Town of Paradise

The Town of Paradise received a request for a recount for the 2021 General Municipal Election. The recount was held Friday, October 1. As the Town operates under an “at large” system for its Council, the recount involved all candidates for the position of Councillor in the 2021 election.

Temporary Water Shut-off for Evergreen Village (October 1)

The Town of Paradise advises of an unplanned, temporary water shut-off for Evergreen Village for today, Friday, October 1, from 12:00 p.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m. The water shut-off is required to complete emergency repairs to the main water line in the area. 

When water is restored, residents are reminded to run their water for a few minutes in the event of any discolouration or air in the pipes. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Recount for 2021 General Municipal Election

The Town of Paradise has received a request for a recount for the 2021 General Municipal Election. The recount is taking place today, Friday, October 1, and the Town will issue the results once it is completed. As the Town operates under an “at large” system for its Council, the recount will involve all candidates for the position of Councillor in the 2021 election.

Garbage/Recycling Schedule Notice (September 30 Holiday)

Due to the September 30, 2021 holiday:

• Garbage collection regularly scheduled for September 30, 2021, for Area 3A&B and recycling collection for Area 3A will be collected on Friday, October 1, 2021.
• Garbage collection regularly scheduled for October 1, 2021, for Area 4A&B and recycling collection for Area 4A will be collected on Monday, October 4, 2021.
