Grinding and Patching Work on Topsail Road - October 30, 2021

The Town of Paradise advises that grinding and patching work is scheduled for Topsail Road (between Paradise Road and Kenmount Road overpass) in both eastbound and westbound lanes on Saturday, October 30. Crews will work to minimize the impact on traffic, but intermittent delays can be expected. The work will be completed in advance of the Tely 10 Road Race and will not impact that event.   

All drivers are asked to use caution in the area and to follow signage and traffic control procedures....

Tely 10 Road Closures - Oct 31, 2021

Residents are advised that the 93rd Annual Tely 10 Mile Road Race will be happening this Sunday. As a result, the following streets will be closed on Sunday, October 31, 2021. 

• 7:35 a.m. - 8:25 a.m. - Topsail Rd. (St. Thomas Line to Paradise Rd.), McNamara Dr., Clearview St., the Topsail Rd. Round-a-bout.

Town Remembers Former Councillor Vince Burton

The Town of Paradise shares the sad news that former Councillor Vince Burton has passed away after a brief but hard-fought battle with cancer. We offer our sincere condolences to his wife Pat, children, grandchildren, and their families. 

Hailing from Shea Heights, Vince moved to Paradise almost 50 years ago, and together with his wife Pat, proudly made the Town their home raising their family here. He had a distinguished career as labour leader with the Carpenters and Millwright Union. Always...

Temporary Water Shut-off for Evergreen Village - October 22

The Town of Paradise advises of a unplanned, temporary water shut-off for Evergreen Village for Friday, October 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The water shut-off is required to complete repairs to the main water line in the area. 

When water is restored, residents are reminded to run their water for a few minutes in the event of any discolouration or air in the pipes. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
