Construction Starts on new Multi-Sport Turf Field for Dianne Whalen Memorial Soccer Complex

The Town of Paradise today marked the start of construction of a new multi-sport turf field at the Dianne Whalen Memorial Soccer Complex. The Town is investing $2million to construct the field and install new lighting at the facility.

Garbage Schedule Change - Remembrance Day

Due to the Remembrance Day holiday: 

• Garbage collection regularly scheduled for Thursday, November 11, 2021, for Area 3A&B and recycling for Area 3A will be picked up on Friday, November 12, 2021.
• Garbage collection regularly scheduled for Friday, November 12, 2021, for Area 4 A&B and recycling for Area 4A will be picked up on Mon, November 15, 2021.

Road Closure for St. Thomas Line - November 6

The Town of Paradise advises that effective 10:30 a.m. today (Saturday, November 6) St. Thomas Line is closed between Topsail Road and Carlingford Street; all traffic is diverted through Carlingford Street. The road closure is needed to accommodate emergency repairs to a force main break. Pumper trucks will also be on site.  At this time, there is no direct impact on homes in the area. The Town apologizes for the inconvenience and an update will be provided later today.

Remembrance Day - Closures

Due to the Remembrance Day holiday on November 11. 2021:

• The Paradise Town Hall will be closed.
• The Paradise Double Ice Complex (including Fitness Centre) will be closed until 2 p.m. Regular programming and rentals will resume after 2 p.m.

Temporary Road Closure: Plateau Park - November 2

The Town of Paradise advises of a temporary road closure for Plateau Park, from St. Thomas Line to Stonewall Drive, on Tuesday, November 2.  The road will be closed for the day due to road work in the area. Local traffic (for civic numbers 6 to 16 and 1 to 13 Plateau Park) will be permitted through, but all other traffic should access the area via Stonewall Drive.
