The Town of Paradise is advising residents that a section of Neil’s Pond Trail will be closed on Thursday, October 1 to facilitate repair work. The section of boardwalk trail, on the south side of the pond (near Yellow Wood Drive and Goldfinch Drive), will be closed for one day. Residents are asked to avoid the area and to follow all posted signage. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this work.

The Town of Paradise is advising of culvert replacement work for Three Island Pond Road, in the area of civic number 215, on Thursday, October 1. The work will begin at 9 a.m. and is expected to be finished before 4 p.m. Crews will work to minimize traffic impacts, but due to the nature of the work, traffic interruptions and delays can be expected. Drivers are asked to use caution in the area and to follow traffic control.

A heavy rainfall warning has been issued for the region, including the Town of Paradise, with rain forecast to start Friday (September 18) and continue until Saturday (September 19) evening. The Town is advising residents to ensure window wells and drains on their properties are clear from leaves and debris. It is also recommended that those with sump pumps ensure they are working properly. Town crews will be monitoring the weather and impact on Town infrastructure throughout the weekend.

The Town of Paradise is advising that a private contractor will be conducting blasting operations in the area behind the building at 1382 Topsail Road. There will be small blasts daily for approximately one week. The operations are weather dependent and the schedule may be adjusted accordingly. All blasting operations are required to be completed in compliance with the provincial government Blasting Regulations.
