Summer Day Camp 2026

For 2026, the Summer Day Camp program runs from June 29 to August 21 and is offered to families for the entire summer or on a weekly basis.

This summer, we have organized activities that are fun, social, and educational. Please see the Eligibility and What We Are Doing sections below for more information on how Summer Day Camp will be implemented for this season.

Drop-off time is between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and pick-up is between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. with no exceptions.

For Summer Day Camp 2026, there is a designated drop-off and pick-up area for each of the three day camps, as well guardians have the option to come into the building to drop off and pick up their child(ren).

If coming into the building, guardians must use the main entrance of the Double Ice Complex and accompany their child(ren) to their designated day camp room.

Please follow the posted signage to be directed to the appropriate drop-off and pick-up location for the specific camp.

Please note that this information may be adapted as needed to ensure efficient traffic flow.

Eligibility to Avail of Summer Day Camp

Please see below the eligibility criteria for all summer day camp programs that the Town of Paradise will be following. All those participating in the Town’s 2026 Summer Day Camp must follow the eligibility criteria. If your child falls in one or more of these categories, they are not eligible to register for the Town's 2026 Summer Day Camp:

  • Children must be fully toilet trained, as parents/guardians will not be permitted to enter and leave the program area to tend to personal care needs. Staff may prompt children for personal care procedures but may not physically assist. Alternatively, children who require assistance with toileting may be accompanied to the day camp by an independently hired respite worker.
  • Children must be able to feed themselves independently. Alternatively, children who require assistance with feeding may be accompanied to the day camp by an independently hired respite worker.

  • Additional screening questions may include: Will your child attend with an independently hired respite worker? Does your child require assistance with hand washing?

  • Respite workers must provide the Town with an RNC Vulnerable Sector Check.

WEEK 8: Imagination Station | August 17 – 21

For the 2026 Summer Day Camp, there will be three camps with 30 participants in each, all offered at the Paradise Double Ice Complex, as follows:

  • Camp Caboodle: children attending grades 1 or 2 in September
  • Camp Wahoo: children attending grades 3 or 4 in September
  • Camp Excursion: children attending grades 5, 6 or 7 in September

Day Camp registration will be online only, and registration will take place on a weekly basis. The Town’s Registration Portal provides the ability to enroll and pay for camps online. 

Registration will open first for Paradise residents only, beginning on April 14, 2026.

  • Camp Caboodle: Opens on April 14 at 12:00 p.m.
  • Camp Wahoo: Opens on April 14 at 1:00 p.m.
  • Camp Excursion: Open on April 14 at 2:00 p.m.

Registration for non-Paradise residents will open for all camps on April 21 at 1:00 p.m.

Please register under the child’s name and provide the correct information of the child that will be attending the camp, including any allergies or medical information we need to be aware of.

Once registration opens, you will have access to the registration portal. You will need to either "Create an Account" or "Log in to Account". For further instructions, please visit our Creating a Public Access Account Page. It is recommended that registrants create an account prior to the registration date and become familiar with the system.

Camp Information

To be eligible to participate in our Summer Day Camp programs, children must have attended kindergarten (at least 5 turning 6 years of age), and have completed no grade higher than grade 6 (no older than 12 years of age).

  • Camp Caboodle: children attending grades 1 or 2 in September
  • Camp Wahoo: children attending grades 3 or 4 in September
  • Camp Excursion: children attending grades 5, 6 or 7 in September

Each camp program will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each weekday.

Drop-off time is between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and pick-up is between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. with no exceptions.

Weekly: $130 per child, except for Week 1 (June 29 - July 3) cost will be $104 due to a 4-day camp week

Note: Any additional costs are minimal and will be noted in your registration package.

One Time Payment

Full payment is required immediately upon registration through our online system via Visa or Master Card. If you choose to pay by debit you will have to select the pay later option and come to the Paradise Double Ice Complex within 24 hours to make payment. If payments are not made within the 24 hours of registration you will lose your spot. If you are waiting on external funding, please call 782-3917 between 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Refunds may be requested within 30 days of payment. After this period, refunds will only be considered for medical reasons and must be supported by a doctor’s note.

Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance, including but not limited to absences due to vacation, parents working from home, sporting events, or other personal commitments.

Please note, camp weeks are not permitted to be sold or transferred to another participant. 

The Town strives to offer an inclusive program within the means and capabilities of trained staff and summer camp guidelines.

Summer Day Camp does not offer personal care or other forms of physical assistance. Participants must be able to attend to all personal bathroom and hygiene matters independently.

Respite workers hired independently by guardians to accompany participants are solely responsible for the personal and physical needs of the individual. Respite workers must provide the Town with a clear Code of Conduct with a Vulnerable Sector Check completed and will be permitted at the discretion of the Recreation Coordinator.

Registration Process for Inclusion Services 

  1. Please register your child as per the registration process
  2. Once you have completed registration, please complete the Inclusion Services Application Form and email it by May 1, 2026, for staff to review.
    • Please note that these forms will be required so that staff can determine if we will be able to support the inclusion needs of your child. 
  3. The town will review all inclusion requests and will do its best to provide one-on-one inclusion services for your child who was requested. This means that we can take one child with inclusion needs per week, per week. (If the staff can support the required need.)
    • We want to ensure that anyone requesting inclusion services gets a fun camp experience.
    • Please note you may not get the full number of weeks you request if there are multiple requests for inclusion services for one camp.
    • This will be determined after the deadline to submit inclusion services applications.
      • All applications submitted will be reviewed to determine if staff can support the child’s needs and what weeks we can accommodate those that were requested.
      • Any late applications will be reviewed and determined if we have support available for the weeks requested.
  4. Town staff will be in contact to confirm if your requests can be met or not.

  • Inform staff members at the time of registration of any special needs or allergies that your child may have.
  • Refunds will only be given for medical reasons with a doctor's note provided.
  • Camp weeks are not permitted to be sold or transferred to another participant
  • Children are required to bring their own lunch and snacks, as well as an extra water bottle and sunscreen.
  • Children should pack a change of clothes and rain gear each day, as we will be going outdoors in all weather.
  • Sneakers are highly recommended. No sandals or Crocs.
  • Should your child have an appointment during camp hours, please notify staff of when they will be dropped off or picked up.

Sign-in

  • Guardians using the designated drop off locations, once you arrive, please call the designated camp phone number to inform staff you are outside to drop off you child(ren). Staff will come outside to get your child(ren) and sign them in.
  • Guardians who are coming inside to drop off their child(ren), please use the main entrance of the Paradise Double Ice Complex and accompany your child(ren) to their designated day camp room to sign them in.

  • Guardians are to remain within the designated drop off times of 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

  • Children are not permitted to be dropped off in the parking lot in the mornings.

Sign-out

  • Guardians must pick-up their child(ren) within the designated pick-up time of 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Guardians must call the designated camp phone number to inform staff they have arrived. Staff will get the child(ren) ready and will bring them outside to meet their guardians to sign them out.
  • Guardians who are coming inside to pick up their child(ren) must use the main entrance of the Paradise Double Ice Complex to access your child’s room. Please see a staff member to sign your child out.
  • Only those listed on the registration form will be authorized to pick up your child/children.

Our top priority is the safety of our participants and staff. The Town will continue to sanitize all equipment to help mitigate the spread of viruses.

If your child is sick, please keep them home until they are symptom free. Staff will call home if a child is displaying signs of illness.

Staff will not be permitted to physically assist participants with sunscreen application unless a sunscreen permission form is completed.

If the permission form is not completed, children will be expected to know how to properly apply sunscreen independently with some verbal cues from staff.

All participants are expected to bring personal sunscreen clearly labelled with their name.

Spray sunscreen will not be permitted.

Hats are mandatory and shirts that cover the shoulders are recommended. 

There will be no sharing of sunscreen and no camp sunscreen will be provided.
