Paradise Municipal Plan Public Hearing

We're in the final stage of completing a new, up-to-date Municipal Plan for the Town of Paradise including new Development Regulations.
At a July 11, 2017 Public Meeting, Council adopted the Town of Paradise Municipal Plan and Development Regulations, 2016.
A Public Hearing in relation to the Plan and Development Regulations will take place Thursday, August 3, 2017, 7:00 p.m. at the St. Thomas Community Centre. The documents are available on our Municipal Plan Page, or during normal business hours...
Tilting Place Public Information Session

The Town of Paradise is holding a public information session on Tilting Place Road Realignment. This information session will provide an opportunity for Town representatives and engineering consultants to deliver an overview of safety and traffic information related to this matter. The session is scheduled for Tuesday, July 25 at 7:15 p.m. at the Paradise Double Ice Complex.
PSA: Detour on Topsail Road

The Town of Paradise is advising residents that the following detour routes will be in effect in the area of Topsail Road and St. Thomas Line on Saturday, July 22, Monday, July 24 and Tuesday, July 25.
- Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, and 9:00 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday, eastbound traffic will detour through Spracklin Blvd.
- Westbound traffic on Topsail Road will detour through Glendarek Drive. This detour will close at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and at 4:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday to allow...
PSA: Road Closures to Accommodate the Tely 10 Road Race

The 90th annual Tely 10 Mile Road Race is scheduled for Sunday, July 23, 2017. The Tely 10 starts in the Town of Paradise and runs through Mount Pearl and St. John's.
As part of the Tely 10 Road Race, residents and participants are advised of the following road closures in Paradise:
• McNamara Drive is closed from 6:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
• Topsail Road, from St. Thomas Line to Paradise Road, is closed from 6:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

Town of Paradise clarifies position on Cenotaph Flags

The Town of Paradise has been asked to fly the Pride Flag at the Town Hall. The flag poles in front of the Town Hall are actually part of the Town’s Cenotaph, a place built to honour and remember veterans and those who were killed in combat. It is the location for the annual Memorial Day (July 1), Korean War Memorial (last Sunday in July) and Remembrance Day (November 11) ceremonies.
