The Nomination Period for the 2021 General Municipal Election is August 24 to August 31, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily, excluding Saturday and Sunday. Nominations of candidates takes place at Paradise Town Hall, 28 McNamara Drive. With current public health guidelines, individuals are asked to make an appointment with the Returning Officer by calling 709-782-1400 or emailing elections@paradise.ca.

The Town of Paradise is seeking Deputy Returning Officers and Poll Clerks for the upcoming 2021 Municipal Election. The Advance Poll will take place on Saturday, September 18, 2021, and September 25, 2021. The 2021 Municipal Election will take place on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

The Town of Paradise advises that flushing of dead end hydrants begins on Thursday, August 19, 2021. This is part of the Town’s water system and fire flow protection maintenance programs.
The flushing will occur between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and will run for approximately five weeks.

The Town has been advised that blasting operations will occur intermittently over the next two weeks as part of the work on the new, single-lane roundabout at the intersection of McNamara Drive and Dianne Whalen Drive. This construction work is a project of the Provincial Department of Transportation and Infrastructure and is part of the new Intermediate School.
