The Town of Paradise is advising residents that a fire advisory has been issued by the St. John’s Regional Fire Department based on the current high index and dry windy conditions. All permits for open air fires are banned. Outdoor Wood Burning Appliances such as chimineas and open-air fireplaces are permitted and residents must follow the Town’s Open Air Burning Regulations when using them. The following provisions apply to all outdoor wood burning appliances used in the Town:

Congratulations to all of our teachers and students on a successful 2017/18 school year. It's time to get outside and enjoy summer in Paradise! Children will be taking a break from the school routine and playing in our neighbourhoods, parks and playgrounds. During the break we ask that motorists please use extra caution and reduce speeds to ensure all of our children stay safe while out having fun this summer. The Town of Paradise is advising residents that beginning July 4, 2018 work will resume on Topsail Road from Christopher Street to St. Thomas Line. This work is required to complete the Topsail Road Phase IV project and includes work to raise manholes and apply final surface asphalt.
Road work will occur from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is expected to run for approximately two weeks. During this construction efforts will be made to minimize impacts on traffic flow, especially during peak morning and evening...

The Town of Paradise Municipal Enforcement Officers (MEO) in conjunction with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) conducted patrols throughout the Town this weekend focused on illegal use of All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) and dirt bikes.
