The Town of Paradise is offering a public Book of Condolence for Councillor Elizabeth Laurie. Those wishing to sign a book can do so at either the Paradise Double Ice Complex (1 Sarah Davis Way) or Paradise Town Hall (28 McNamara Drive), during regular operating hours. The books will be available for signing until Monday, February 26, 2024.

"Today I lost a dear friend, and the Town of Paradise lost a treasured resident, my colleague Councillor Elizabeth Laurie. On behalf of the Town, I extend heartfelt condolences to her husband Harold Furlong, young daughters Laurie and Grace, her father and three sisters, and their families.

The Town of Paradise advises that due to the forecast, all Town facilities, including the Town Hall and Paradise Double Ice Complex are closed for the day on Wednesday, February 14 with Recreation facilities closed for the evening as well.
Garbage and Recycling collections are cancelled for February 14 with collections moving ahead by one day. The revised schedule for the remainder of the week is as follows:

The Town of Paradise partners with Metrobus to offer public transit to the Town of Paradise. Route 30 operates weekdays during peak hours and on Saturdays between the Paradise Double Ice Complex and the Avalon Mall in St. John's.
