Update on St. Thomas Line / Topsail Road Lift Station

Work is ongoing at the St. Thomas Line / Topsail Road Lift Station. Following from the equipment malfunction on August 12, crews have been working to get the station operational, assess the matter and plan for appropriate repairs. External equipment was brought to the site and it has been operational for the past several weeks. New Lane Configuration for Kenmount Road Exit Ramp to Topsail Road West

The Town of Paradise is advising of lane configuration changes for the Kenmount Road exit ramp onto Topsail Road West. Effective the week of October 6, the exit ramp will change to a stop before exiting onto Topsail Road. Currently, the exit is a lane merge. St. Thomas Line Road Detour (September 25, 2019)

The Town of Paradise advises that a section on St. Thomas Line, from Topsail Road to Carlingford Street, is closed to all traffic and traffic is diverted through Carlingford Street. Traffic calming measures will be in place and traffic control will be in place for the evening commute at the intersection with Topsail Road. As part of traffic control, lane reductions will be in place on Topsail Road. The detour is required for unplanned sewer repairs. The Town of Paradise apologizes for the inconvenience.

UPDATE: Due to weather conditions, paving operations will not take place on Saturday, September 21. The Town of Paradise advises that weather permitting, paving operations for the surface layer of asphalt for Topsail Road / McNamara Drive roundabout are scheduled for Saturday, September 21. The Town of Paradise advises that traffic interruptions and delays are expected at the Topsail Road / McNamara Drive roundabout for the next two weeks as the work moves to the medians and centre islands. Due to the nature of this portion of work, traffic will be impacted and delayed throughout the day.
