Today, the Mayors of Mount Pearl, Paradise and St. John’s addressed federal requirements to complete secondary wastewater treatment from the Riverhead Wastewater Treatment Facility by the end of 2020. The Town of Paradise advises that work will begin on the Adams Pond Trail the week of July 8, 2019. This work will be to complete the final section of the trail. Work will take place Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the project is expected to be completed by the end of October. Please see image for work area. The Town of Paradise is advising residents that beginning 9:00 a.m. Monday, July 8, work will be completed at the intersection of Burnaby Drive and McNamara Drive which will require closing the intersection to all traffic. It will be closed for approximately four to five days. Traffic calming measures will be in place in Valley Ridge subdivision including appropriate signage and Town officials and Municipal Enforcement will increase monitoring in the area. The Town of Paradise advises that access to Camrose Drive via Paradise Road will be unavailable beginning 7 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 until Friday, July 5 . Access to Camrose Drive will instead be available via Deborah Lynn Heights on St. Thomas Line. The access closure is needed as part of the Phase III Paradise Road Upgrades.
