On Tuesday, August 6, the Town of Paradise held a ceremony to celebrate the installation of a new lighting system at the large ballfield in Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park. The Town of Paradise is advising of a planned water shut-off on Wednesday, August 7 for the Paradise Road area. It will affect Paradise Road between Inwood Crescent and Bernard Drive. The water will be shut-off at 9 a.m. and will be restored by 5 p.m. The water shut-off is required as part of the road work ongoing in the area. Please note the daycare in the area will be included in the shut-off. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience.

The Town of Paradise is advising that effective Tuesday, July 30 the traffic lights will be removed from the intersection of Topsail Road-McNamara Drive-Clearview Heights and traffic will flow in a roundabout configuration. At this time, the roundabout will be one lane to accommodate the ongoing construction work for the project. The 92nd annual Tely 10 Mile Road Race kicks off in Paradise on Sunday, July 28. The Tely 10, which runs through Paradise, Mount Pearl and St. John's, is Newfoundland's premier road race, and is believed to be the third oldest road race in Canada and one of the oldest in North America.
