At tonight's (November 19) Public Council Meeting, Deputy Mayor Elizabeth Laurie, Chair of the Corporate Services Committee, provided an update on the costs of the repairs to the Lift Station on the corner of Topsail Road and St. Thomas Line. An equipment malfunction occurred at the Lift Station on August 12, and as the volume at that lift station is the largest in Town, crews worked to keep the essential service operating for residents while repair work was completed.

The Town of Paradise is advising motorists to expect delays Westbound on Topsail Road on the commute home this afternoon, (Friday, November 15).
Line Painting is underway on Topsail Road West between the overpass and intersection of Carlisle Drive and Topsail Road (in front of McDonalds). This work supports lane configuration changes for the Kenmount Road exit ramp onto Topsail Road West which came into effect on Tuesday, November 12.
Flagpersons will be in the area to assist with traffic flow.

The Town of Paradise is advising of lane configuration changes for the Kenmount Road exit ramp onto Topsail Road West.
Effective Tuesday, November 12, the exit ramp will change to a yield before exiting onto Topsail Road. Currently, the exit is a lane merge. In addition, a centre turning lane will be added to the section of Topsail Road.
Appropriate signage will be placed in advance of the new configuration taking effect.

The Town of Paradise is advising that sanitary smoke testing is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 for Stormont Street, Pleasantview Avenue, Fred Brown Drive, Barchester Street, and Lancefield Street. The testing will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The purpose is to identify sewer infrastructure leaks and cross-connections. A harmless and non-damaging smoke will be injected throughout the sewer system to enable crews to locate any leaks and note cross connections in the sewer...
