Effective tomorrow, Monday, January 20, the Town of Paradise will temporarily lift the state of emergency from the hours of 6 a.m. and midnight daily. Starting Monday, and until further notice, all businesses are required to close by midnight daily. The Town of Paradise advises that the state of emergency remains in effect until 6 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2020. Regional Pharmacies to Open at Request of Eastern Health

During this State of Emergency, Eastern Health has made an urgent request to allow for regional pharmacies to open. In order for residents to obtain necessary medication the City of St. John’s, City of Mount Pearl, the Town of Paradise and the Town of Torbay are allowing pharmacies to open between the hours of noon and 7 p.m. today (Sunday, January 19). The Town of Paradise remains under a state of emergency. Snow clearing operations are underway. The Town is not able to give specific updates, there are many factors affecting snow clearing operations of this magnitude. Sewer Main Break on St. Thomas Line

The Town of Paradise is advising of a sewer main break on St. Thomas Line between Topsail Road and Carlingford Street. It is not associated with the Lift Station. Pumper trucks will be on site throughout the night and there is no impact to service at this time. Contractors are expected on site in the morning (Sunday, January 19) to complete the repairs.
